Pinnacles Desert

Description

The sand is still glowing after the sun sets in the Pinnacles Desert, Nambung National Park, near Cervantes, Western Australia.

The Pinnacles are limestone structures, formed 25,000 to 30,000 years ago. Over time, winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed.
